THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY....
This renovation was probably the most challenging due to the wide variety of problems encountered. Due to the fact that the roof had given way and was allowing water to get in, the ceilings in 4 of the 5 downstairs rooms had to be redone along with replacing the oak hardwood floors where water had buckled or stained them.
The dining room and tiny kitchen were combined and a space for laundry had to be carved out of the existing floorplan. New HVAC/heat, electrical service, plumbing, fixtures, cabinets, appliances and floors followed.
The roof was almost completely rebuilt due to rotting beams and joists. The ceiling was raised on the second floor. The bathroom was completly gutted as was the kitchen. We could go on, but just take a look at the pictures and you will understand.

From abandoned to loved. This home was thought to be beyond saving, look at it now!
In older homes, it is sometimes necessary to remove a wall to accommodate modern life. In this project two small and unusable rooms were combined to make a functional country kitchen. Sacrificing the "formal" dining room to make a bigger kitchen paid off in big profits on this project.
